The legal system is the framework of our society. In most instances, it determines our lives. These forum topics are wide ranging because the government is upheld by the never ending laws that continue to grow and grow and grow... Taxes are defined by laws and so is spending.

Washington has no state income tax but does have Property Taxes, B&O Tax, Sales Tax, Home-Sale Tax, Asset Tax, Vehicle registration Tax, Smog Check Tax, Utilities Taxes, Sprinkler Backflow tax, Liqueur Tax, Gasoline Tax, Cell Phone Tax, etc.

Bureaucrats are appointed by elected officials to run government programs. They can write new laws and regulations and have a great impact on our lives. Voters have an extremely hard time doing anything about their decisions. For example, TSA administrators determine the hell we have to endure to board an airplane.
